My Project So Far...
At first, I was going to concentrate on social media networks for my project. From researching I discovered that this was to broad of a topic. So I decided to focus more on Facebook. My project so far has been over whelming. The information that I have found has been very challenging. Since Facebook is new, it's hard to determine what are facts and opinions. I would consider secondary information it a credited source. I hope to express to my readers how Facebook is an effective tool and the most powerful tool it has, is that you control what you want other to know. It's the fastest way to give/receive information. I hope to express how these "links" can take you all over the world.

Facebook has come a very long way in a very short amount of time. Millions of people use facebook everyday, and many use it more than once a day. This makes it a huge resource for communication, advertising, Some places you may be able to find information and content for your project could be news engines, and also, numerous books have been written about the internet as a social medium and even books specifically on facebook, check out amazon. Sounds interesting though and my topic slightly resembles yours because mine exclusively looks at how the internet has changed dating for many people. There are literally thousands of dating sites that people pay $ to use, and I want to see how that has changed they way we find/search for love, how these found relationships are maintained, and how effective this method is. Wish me luck!
I feel your pain about how facebook is so new that it's hard to gather info about it. Many of the topics that other people are doing will have the same issues. I dunno if you wanna try this but it's an easy way to get primary info about facebook use among friends. Go to Surveymonkey.com and create a survey. you can either do the one for free, or sign up for like $12. I had to do this for another class, and I loved it. It is so easy to make. Once you make it, just copy and paste the link into a Facebook group that you created and send invites to all your friends. You could make any type of questions you want (usage, time, reasons, opinions).
